The Triton Central Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Triton Central sitting on six straight victories and Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter on three.
It was a proper cat-fight when Triton Central challenged Greenfield-Central on Monday. The Tigers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 6-1.

Brylie Couch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn Hittle, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Peterson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Triton Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Greenwood Christian Academy 12-11.
Riley Torres made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Torres was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Berkley Finke was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-5. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. D'Asia Davis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Triton Central's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, their record now sits at 7-10.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Triton Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .405. However, it's not like Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Triton Central took their victory against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
