Soccer Game Preview: Berry vs. Ballantyne Ridge

The Berry Cardinals will face off against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berry's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Berry lost 10-1 to Ardrey Kell on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Berry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Ardrey Kell are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, Ballantyne Ridge had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Olympic get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Tuesday. Harleigh Kamm was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Berry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
