Basketball Recap: Air Academy Comes Up Short

Air Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 69-53 to the Palmer Ridge Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-39 back in January.

Despite the loss, Air Academy still got an impressive performance from Brody Winnett, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 20 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Levi Wyman, who posted six points.

Logan Boyer was his usual excellent self, going 6-for-12 to rack up 19 points for Palmer Ridge. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Mulloy, who put up 12 points.

Air Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Palmer Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-10.

Air Academy has already played their next match, a 72-53 loss against Pueblo West on the 15th. As for Palmer Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-44 defeat against Mesa Ridge on the 15th.
