Softball Recap: Brentwood's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Brentwood dropped their record down to 11-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 13-3 to the Wilson Central Wildcats. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bruins, who until this game were averaging 3.27 runs allowed.

Avery Mason made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

As for Wilson Central, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

On Wilson Central's side, Jordan Hawkins spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits.
