Basketball Recap: Cottage Hill Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Cottage Hill Christian Academy was the 65-51 winner over Mobile Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mobile Christian Leopards on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Mobile Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rico Prince, who went 10 for 13 on his way to 22 points and seven boards. Prince's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Sema'J Law was another key player, going 7 of 17 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Mobile Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 68-60 win against McIntosh on the 14th. As for Mobile Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-57 defeat against Bayside Academy on the 14th.
