Flag Football Game Preview: Wakefield Wolverines vs. Broughton Capitals + How To Watch

The Wakefield Wolverines will face off against the Broughton Capitals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Wakefield 0.8, Broughton 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Broughton's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Wakefield hadn't allowed a single point the last 12 times they've hit the field. The Wolverines blew past Green Hope 33-0 on Monday. Considering the Wolverines have won 12 matchups by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Wakefield found their leader in sophomore Quinn Pope, who rushed for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 104 yards and two TDs.

Wakefield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Gracelyn Capel led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Brenna Colleran got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Broughton was able to grind out a solid victory over Rolesville on Thursday, taking the game 18-7.

Wakefield's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Broughton, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-7.

Wakefield took their win against Broughton in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 26-0 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Capitals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
