Softball Recap: Eminence Comes Up Short

Eminence extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-15. They came up short against the Henry County Wildcats, falling 22-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Henry County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Considering they have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Henry County's part, Khloe Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carly Davidson, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Avery McManis also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

While Eminence had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
