Baseball Recap: Snook Christian Academy Victorious

Snook Christian Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions, sneaking past 7-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Ethan Bettner was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Snook Christian Academy is 5-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-7 otherwise. Bettner was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Rubel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Ethan Parker was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Snook Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1.

Snook Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Lighthouse Private Christian Academy on the 8th. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Milton on the 8th.
