Football Recap: Kennett Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennett can now relate to. They were dealt a 42-7 defeat at the hands of the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights on Friday. The contest marked the Blue Demons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Will Garner produced another solid performance rushing for 275 yards and four scores while picking up 12.0 yards per carry for Bayard Rustin. Garner really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

Kennett's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Bayard Rustin, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Kennett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bayard Rustin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 27-13 defeat against Chester on the 15th.
