After soaring to 60 points the game before, Center Line was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. The game between them and the Pershing Doughboys didn't end well, with the Center Line Panthers falling 43-28. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Center Line's loss came despite strong showings from CAMERON EASTON and TE'REZ HOLMES. EASTON posted nine points, while HOLMES had nine points.

Center Line's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Pershing, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Center Line didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-60 defeat against West Bloomfield on the 28th. As for Pershing, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cass Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Cass Tech will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pershing surely won't give up without a fight.
