Softball Recap: Immaculata Takes a Loss

Immaculata fell victim to Hunterdon Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Maddie Falvey spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.

Immaculata's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
