Volleyball Recap: Holly Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Holly lost against South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Patriots.

Holly couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 26-24, 25-19.

Allison Rushton paced Holly's offense, picking up eight kills. Rushton got some help from Makynna Neugebauer and her 18 assists. Neugebauer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] was led to victory by Eliana Gutierrez and Mary Brewer. Gutierrez had five digs and three aces, while Brewer had nine digs. The dominant performance also gave Gutierrez a new career-high in assists (30). Brielle Bond also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Holly dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett], the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
