Basketball Recap: Kobi Asante Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat New Life Christian Academy

Village Christian Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 49-40 win over the New Life Christian Academy Monarchs. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 80-53 loss the last time these two teams met.

Village Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kobi Asante led the charge by going 8-for-13 en route to 17 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Trey Evers, who posted ten points and eight boards.

New Life Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Graham, who had 24 points, and Jeremiah Morrison, who earned five points in addition to 14 rebounds and three blocks. Graham continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
