Basketball Game Preview: Freeburg Midgets vs. North County Raiders

The Freeburg Midgets will face off against the North County Raiders at 9:50 p.m. on Friday. Freeburg will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Freeburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Pacific 64-29. Given the Midgets' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 140th in Illinois, while the Indians are ranked 451st in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North County beat Carthage 47-35 on Saturday.

Freeburg's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for North County, they are also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
