Basketball Recap: J.Z. George Takes a Loss

J.Z. George was the 57-51 winner over Calhoun City when they last played one another back in February of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The J.Z. George Jaguars took a hard 38-23 fall against the Calhoun City Wildcats on Saturday.

J.Z. George has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Calhoun City, their record now sits at 9-5.

J.Z. George will be taking part in a tournament against Simmons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Simmons will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something J.Z. George surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calhoun City, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coffeeville at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Calhoun City is facing Coffeeville at the right time seeing as Coffeeville is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
