Greenwood took a 16-run loss the last time they faced off against Hillcrest, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles skirted past the Rams 4-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Greenwood's record is now 4-13. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Coming up, Greenwood will face off against Mauldin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mavericks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.09 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hillcrest, they will take on T.L. Hanna at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
