Volleyball Recap: Ponca City Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Ponca City took on Putnam City North on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Ponca City's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Putnam City North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Ponca City will take on Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Putnam City North, they will head out to challenge Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Putnam City North is facing Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College at the right time seeing as Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
