Baseball Recap: Highland Drops Season-High Score on Riverdale

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland). They blew past the Riverdale Chieftains 14-4 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Highland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Riverdale, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mineral Point at 4:30 p.m. The Pointers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Chieftains surely won't give up without a fight.
