Basketball Recap: Landrum Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Landrum had won two straight road games and Benett Edwards did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Landrum Cardinals came out on top against the Blacksburg Wildcats by a score of 70-58 thanks in part to Edwards, who went 12 of 19 on his way to 30 points and six assists. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Blacksburg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cameron Cobb, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, and Jd Bonner, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Bonner a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziyon Harris, who posted 14 points.

Landrum's record now sits at 10-4. As for Blacksburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landrum will welcome Chesnee at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Landrum is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 73.7 points per game this season. As for Blacksburg, they will host Brashier Middle College Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
