The Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels and the Front Range Christian Falcons will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Golden View Classical Academy barely beat Caprock Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Sentinels put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 55-29 victory last Saturday.

Golden View Classical Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Walker, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 16 points along with seven boards and five assists. Thanks to that strong game, Walker now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Huck Hale, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Golden View Classical Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caprock Academy only racked up eight.
Meanwhile, Front Range Christian's matchup on Monday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 59-34 margin over Front Range Baptist. Winning may never get old, but Front Range Christian sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Front Range Christian's win came from a few key players Golden View Classical Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zach Woo, who went 7-for-15 en route to 20 points. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Jackson Baldwin was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six assists and five steals.
Front Range Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Golden View Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Golden View Classical Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Front Range Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
