Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schenectady). They secured a 79-74 W over the Catholic Central Crusaders on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2017.

When it comes to explaining why Catholic Central lost, don't look at Sei'Mir Roberson. Despite the final result, he went 15 of 31 on his way to 40 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. The contest was Roberson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Qwameik Smith, who posted 21 points and eight boards.

Schenectady's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Catholic Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Schenectady didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-49 loss against Bethlehem Central on the 21st. As for Catholic Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 96-63 defeat against Our Lady of Lourdes on the 18th.
