Micah Newcombe Game Report: @ Sunnyslope

Dobson's leading rusher did his thing again on Thursday. Micah Newcombe turned in his biggest game of the season, rushing for 188 yards and 1 touchdown while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. He has averaged 161.4 rushing yards per game over his last 10 games compared to 74.6 in his first seven games last season.

Looking ahead, Newcombe and Dobson are taking a road trip to square off against Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. The Mustangs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Trojans thanks in part to Newcombe: he rushed for 331 yards and 4 scores while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Can he match (or beat) that stellar performance? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more football content.
