Volleyball Game Preview: Frederick Golden Eagles vs. Holy Family Tigers + Official Tickets

Frederick hasn't had much luck against Holy Family recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Frederick will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Frederick is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since August 30th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Horizon 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Frederick who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 16-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Holy Family took on Niwot on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0.

Holy Family was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-12.

Holy Family's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Frederick, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Everything went Frederick's way against Holy Family when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Frederick made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
