Kent Denver extended the longest winning streak in 2A Colorado this week by beating Strasburg, 49-35. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Ridgeview Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,284 from 11,428.
Kent Denver's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joey Matarazzo threw for 219 and two touchdowns and Matt Pettyjohn had 124 yards receiving. On the ground Jaden Franklin chipped in 121 yards. Brian Boatman helped Kent Denver's passing attack out by catching three balls for 75 yards.
Kent Denver's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sun Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matarazzo has thrown for 828 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Pettyjohn has 12 catches for 435 yards. Franklin leads the league in rushing with 1537 yards.
Scott Yates' team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Indians. Matarazzo ran for 10 yards in the win.
