Football Recap: Keenan Comes Up Short

Keenan played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 37-6 loss at the hands of the Newberry Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 31st).

Cameron McMillon threw for 153 yards and one touchdown. Deion Hollis was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Hunter O'Neal rushed for 58 yards.

Keenan has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Newberry, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Keenan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newberry, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Swansea at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 14.2, the Tigers 13.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
