Flag Football Game Preview: South Garner Titans vs. Fuquay - Varina Bengals

The South Garner Titans will challenge the Fuquay - Varina Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Garner will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

South Garner is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: Garner, who was ranked 21st at the time (South Garner was ranked eighth). The Titans enjoyed a cozy 14-0 win over the Trojans on Tuesday. Give the Titans' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Fuquay - Varina sidestepped Cary for a 12-9 victory.

Fuquay - Varina's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for South Garner, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

South Garner strolled past Fuquay - Varina in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 34-20. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bengals' Jaya Cureton, who rushed for 75 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.
