Basketball Recap: Cozad Skates Past Hershey with Ease

Cozad put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 59-22 victory over the Hershey Panthers. With the Haymakers ahead 34-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cozad to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olliver Davis, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Shoemaker, who had nine points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Cozad pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hershey, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cozad and Valentine will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Cozad has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three contests. As for Hershey, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Patrick's at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
