Basketball Game Preview: Augusta Beavers vs. Elmwood/Plum City Wolves

The Augusta Beavers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Elmwood/Plum City Wolves at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Augusta and 29 for Elmwood/Plum City dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Augusta was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 69-65 to New Richmond.

Meanwhile, Elmwood/Plum City lost 48-27 to Pepin/Alma on Friday.

Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Elmwood/Plum City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Augusta took their win against Elmwood/Plum City when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 59-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Augusta since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
