Basketball Recap: York Takes a Loss

York was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 67-49 to the Hastings Tigers. The Dukes were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, York still got an impressive performance from Ryan Huston, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. That was a full 36.7% of York's points, marking the sixth time in a row Huston has posted more than a third of the team's points. Hayden Brungardt was another key player, putting up seven points.

York's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Hastings, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

York does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hastings, they will face off against Minden at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
