Softball Recap: Fairfield Falcons vs. Prairie Heights Panthers

Fairfield can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They blew past the Prairie Heights Panthers 10-4. Winning may never get old, but Fairfield sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Madison Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Jones was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Adelyn Holsopple was incredible, going 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. Lilly Yoder was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double.

Like Fairfield, Prairie Heights also got a great game from a two-way player: Emily McCrea. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off eight hits. McCrea has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. McCrea was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Olivia Boots made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
