Enumclaw extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 10-2 in the process. Everything went their way against the Auburn Mountainview Lions as they made off with a 7-1 win. Considering the Hornets have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alyssa Harris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Lim, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Kylar Navarro was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Enumclaw kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive contests.

As for Auburn Mountainview, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-3 record. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the six games prior), but Enumclaw's pitchers proved too tough.

On Auburn Mountainview's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynna Erdmann, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Enumclaw has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against White River on the 21st. As for Auburn Mountainview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 win against Decatur on the 17th.
