Basketball Game Preview: Water Valley Wildcats vs. Rankin Red Devils

The Water Valley Wildcats will take on the Rankin Red Devils on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Water Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-42 victory over Menard.

Meanwhile, Rankin waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed past the Indians to the tune of 64-29. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Water Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Rankin, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Water Valley beat Rankin 60-48 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will Water Valley repeat their success, or does Rankin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
