Recap: Hazel Green Trojans vs. Gadsden City Titans
The Hazel Green Trojans lost to the Gadsden City Titans back in November of 2018, but the Hazel Green Trojans didn't allow the Gadsden City Titans the same satisfaction on Monday. Hazel Green walked away with a 59-50 win over Gadsden City.
Hazel Green's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Pedro Lazaro, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jalen Bright, who scored 13 points.
Hazel Green has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Gadsden City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Hazel Green will take on Centennial in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Hazel Green likes a good challenge. Gadsden City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Shades Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
