Basketball Recap: Crosstown Takes a Loss

Crosstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Lakeland Preparatory Lions, falling 71-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Explorers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-23 back in December of 2024.

Crosstown's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Crosstown will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Memphis Business Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-36 defeat against St. Agnes Academy on the 27th.
