Football Game Preview: Arvin Bears vs. Mira Monte Lions + How To Watch

Arvin is 7-2 against Mira Monte since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bears will welcome the Lions at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, Arvin ended up a good deal behind Foothill and lost 24-7. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, Arvin's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Keith Leon with two. He has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last seven times he's played.

Meanwhile, Mira Monte had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Suns, posting a 35-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Arvin better keep an eye on Nathan Gonzales. He was instrumental in Mira Monte's win, rushing for 100 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 108 yards and one TD on only seven passes.

Arvin's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mira Monte, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Arvin strolled past Mira Monte in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 38-23. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Gonzales, who rushed for 133 yards, and also threw for one yards and one touchdown.
