Recap: Grayson Christian vs. Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors
Grayson Christian and the Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly Grayson Christian had to settle for second. Grayson Christian was beaten by Annapolis Christian Academy 54-6. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Grayson Christian came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Annapolis Christian Academy is ranked 1140th).
Chuck Brushe was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 83 yards and four touchdowns on only seven passes.
Grayson Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Annapolis Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Grayson Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Annapolis Christian Academy will face off against Sunnybrook Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunnybrook Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
