East Surry and North Surry are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Surry's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

East Surry fell victim to Forbush and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, East Surry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while Forbush are ranked 103rd).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, North Surry was not quite Surry Central's equal in the second half on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. That's two games in a row now that North Surry have lost by exactly two goals.

East Surry's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-3. As for North Surry, they now have a losing record of 7-8-3.
