Heritage won the last time they faced Lapeer and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Heritage Hawks took down the Lapeer Lightning 60-45. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Lightning are ranked 338th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Lapeer, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage is facing Central at the right time seeing as Central is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Lapeer, they will face off against Powers Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Powers Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Lapeer likes a good challenge.
