Basketball Game Preview: Candlelight Christian Academy Flames vs. Hardee Wildcats

The Candlelight Christian Academy Flames are taking a road trip to challenge the Hardee Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Candlelight Christian Academy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Excel Christian Academy on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Candlelight Christian Academy was beaten by Excel Christian Academy 57-25. The Flames were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.

Leishka Reyes was Candlelight Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Reyes also led the team in rebounds with six. Skyler Taylor took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Meanwhile, Hardee lost to DeSoto County at home by a 49-32 margin on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hardee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Candlelight Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
