MaxPreps Academy Top 10 presented by the Army National Guard

1. (No. 1 last week) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), 29-0
A quick trip to Texas produced a 71-28 win over God's Academy (Dallas). Allerik Freeman led the way for the Pilots with 14 points. Can we fast forward to the National High School Invitational – scheduled for April 4-6 – already?

2. (2) Prime Prep (Dallas), 26-0
The Truth recorded an impressive 73-45 win over No. 9 Sunrise Christian Academy over the weekend, getting a game-high 21 points from junior phenom Emmanuel Mudiay.

3. (3) St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.), 25-1
The Gray Bees get a chance to avenge their only loss of the season Wednesday against Blair Academy (Blairstown) in the prep school state tournament final.

4. (4) Montverde Academy (Fla.), 22-2
The Eagles won't play again until March 3 against No. 6 Huntington Prep at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky.

5. (5) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.), 24-3
Indianapolis Cathedral was billed as a state championship contender in Indiana during the preseason and looked the part during a 70-59 humbling of La Lumiere on Saturday night. The Lakers wrap up the regular season this weekend with contests against Quakerdale Prep of Iowa and Trader's Point Christian Academy (Whitestown).

6. (6) Huntington Prep (W.Va.), 26-2
In a homecoming for Montaque Gill-Ceasar, Nevell Provo, Xavier Rathan-Mayes and Andrew Wiggins, the Express went north of the border to Canada for an 81-52 win over United Leadership Academy of Hamilton, Ontario, on Saturday night. La Lumiere beat Huntington Prep 46-35 head-to-head in January, so for now the Express stay put despite the Indiana school's loss.

7. (8) Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.), 18-4
Baylor-bound Ishmail Wainright helped the Mustangs win four games last week by averaging 11 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.5 assists per outing. Among the victories was a 53-50 overtime triumph over Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, D.C.) at the Presidential Hoopfest.

8. (10) Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), 29-5
Future Indiana Hoosier Troy Williams went for 22 points and 14 rebounds Monday night as the Warriors torched Quality Education Academy (Winston-Salem, N.C.), 93-58.

9. (7) Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.), 25-1
Becoming one of the nation's elite programs isn't easy and the Buffaloes found that out against Prime Prep. No time to sulk about the 28-point beatdown, however. SCA could face Prime Prep again this coming weekend.

10. (NR) Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.), 20-5
The Trojans received the top seed in the NCISAA Class 3A state tournament. WCA will face either Durham Academy or Ravenscroft (Raleigh) on Feb. 21. It should be a competitive tournament as Christ School, Greensboro Day and High Point Christian Academy – who have all spent time in the Academy Top 10 this season – will vie for the title.
