Volleyball Game Preview: Brandon Blackhawks vs. Owosso Trojans + How To Watch

Brandon and Owosso are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2020, but not for long. The Blackhawks will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Trojans at 6:15 p.m. Owosso took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Brandon, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Brandon earned a 3-1 victory over Lakeville.

Brandon was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 13-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Brooke Roberts, who had six digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Roberts wasn't the only good servers: Brandon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Owosso was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Goodrich, falling 3-0.

While Owosso was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 25-23.

Owosso's loss dropped their record down to 5-15-2. As for Brandon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.
