Softball Game Preview: Patriot Pioneers vs. Brentsville District Tigers

Patriot is 1-6 against Brentsville District since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Patriot will be playing in front of their home fans against Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. Patriot will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Patriot made easy work of Osbourn and carried off a 14-1 win.

Patriot got a massive performance out of Allison Day, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Shelton, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Patriot always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Brentsville District came up short against Millbrook on Tuesday and fell 7-2.

Brentsville District saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Marvin, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Patriot's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Brentsville District, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
