Hunter Simpson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Simpson and Mandarin will challenge Eagle's View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Simpson has dominated as far as earned runs are concerned (he's averaged 0.2 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering the Warriors have only allowed 3.75 per game this season.
