Baseball Recap: Northern Bedford County Takes a Loss

Northern Bedford County had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 10-8 to make it four. They fell 4-1 to the Windber Ramblers. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Windber, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Windber's part, Logan Serenko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. Serenko also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Ramblers are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-9 otherwise.

As of now, neither Northern Bedford County nor Windber have any future games scheduled.
