Softball Recap: Pocahontas Takes a Loss

Pocahontas and Lonoke squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pocahontas had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jackrabbits by a score of 6-5. The Redskins just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Violet Lynch and Emma Conway stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lynch went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Conway went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. River Duncan was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Pocahontas now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Lonoke, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-7.

As of now, neither Pocahontas nor the Jackrabbits have any future games scheduled.
