Hale Center waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Olton Mustangs a 26-0 shutout. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Miella Anguiano made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Breylin Rey was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five stolen bases, and three runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Alyssa Borunda was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing five bases while going 3-for-3.

Hale Center was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .750. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in nine consecutive games.

Hale Center's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Olton, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Hale Center will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
