Baseball Recap: Lebanon Takes a Loss

Lebanon had lost 15 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 1-9 to make it 16. They lost 10-0 to the Marissa/Coulterville Meteors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Meteors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 on Tuesday.

As for Marissa/Coulterville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

For Marissa/Coulterville's part, the team relied heavily on Landen Perry, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Perry has posted since back in March of 2024. Elliot Sinn also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lebanon will venture away from home to take on Christ Our Rock Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Silver Stallions' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Greyhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Marissa/Coulterville, they will head out to challenge Trico at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
