On Thursday, the Bellevue West Thunderbirds's game was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 47-43 W over Lincoln North Star. That's another feather in the cap for Bellevue West, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Naomi White was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Coyer, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Bellevue West's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Lincoln North Star, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Bellevue West will take on Lincoln East at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln North Star, they will be playing at home against Norfolk on Thursday.
