Baseball Game Preview: Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins vs. Calhoun County Saints

Orangeburg-Wilkinson is 0-7 against Calhoun County since February of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins will look to defend their home field against the Calhoun County Saints at 6:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson fell victim to Orangeburg Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Meanwhile, Calhoun County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 8-1 to Andrew Jackson Academy on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Calhoun County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dea'Vontae Cannon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. Another was Alec Nichols, who scored a run and stole Two bases.
