Football Recap: Eastern Wayne Warriors vs. Southern Wayne Saints
Eastern Wayne took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 38-0 victory over the Southern Wayne Saints. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 22-20 defeat the Saints walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.
Eastern Wayne's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Thomas, who picked up 50 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Izeiah Oates, who threw for 103 yards and three touchdowns.
